His name is R. Schollial and he is from Mishakawa, Indiana. He drives a 1929 Pontiac Coach that is often breaking down costing him more money than he can afford. He loves ice cream, and seems to be particularly enamored with banana splits. Enjoys going to the movies. His girlfriend of 3 years breaks his heart. Four months later he finds his kindred spirit.
The year is 1937. I read the diary in a day, getting a glimpse of 6 1/2 months of his life. The more things change, the more they stay the same.
